Three celebrity entertainers, three accidents, and over half a dozen people dead. This isn’t a movie or a rap video this is a sad reality. Part three of celebrities that illegal street race features the same entertainers which many have come to admire. Learn about their stories, mistakes, and make an effort to reduce this illegal activity that has come to act as such a detriment to society
Jub Jub (Molemo Maarohanye) (2010 South Africa):
Hip hop artist Jub Jub (Molemo Maarohanye) is alleged to have been under the influence of cocaine and morphine while entering into an illegal street race with his friend. Both drivers lost control of their Mini’s, crashed, and tragically claimed the lives of four innocent passengers. Both Jub Jub and the other driver face four charges of murder.

Charles "Mask" Lewis Jr (2009 United States)
Journalist reported that an illegal high speed traffic violation tragically claimed the life of Tapout founder Charles “Mask” Lewis Jr. Lewis driving his Ferrari and Jeffrey Kirby driving his Porsche intoxicated collided at a high speed which caused Lewis to lose control of his car hit a curb and a light pole resulting in his car being split in half. Kirby was reported to have fled the scene in his Porsche and was found two hours later by Police with a Blood alcohol level of .13. Kirby has been charged with “one felony count of vehicular manslaughter by unlawful act with gross negligence while intoxicated, one felony count of driving under the influence causing bodily injury, and sentencing enhancements for fleeing the scene of a vehicular manslaughter and causing great bodily injury to multiple victims. ” (Orange County District Attorney’s Office)

Kandice Hutchinson (Kandi) (2008 United States)
Journalists reported that on October 21 “Kandi” from the reality TV show A Double Shot at Love was tragically killed while illegal street racing in her 350Z. The reality TV show contestant was alleged to have engaged in an illegal race with a Mazda Mazda6, lost control of her vehicle, crashed into a concrete median, and was ejected out of the car to her death (she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt). A news source stated that the toxicology tests indicated that she had a blood-alcohol level of 0.24 (three times the legal limit in Texas) at the time of her death.
