"Car Crashes on South Van Ness Street"

Illegal street racing is out of control. I cant believe someone would witness an accident and just drive away… I have read stories on a site called Evo Street Racers where street racers will crash, car goes on fire, person is still alive, and the other car just drives away! Crazy! more needs to be done to stop it.

"Still Racing"

I agree these kids need a place to race there cars safely and legally. In my community we first contacted the NHRA without a repsonse. We were quite disappointed. Then we contact a group out of California called "Evo Street Racers" and we are FINALLY very close to solidifying a permament track. We owe them alot for all there hard work! If you area is suffering from a street racing problem you may want to contact them too...

"Street Racing Cars Is a Crime"

You can raise the fines for items that may be related to illegal street racing… but what about creating venues for us to race at? Why doesn’t CHP hook up with motorsports associations that create events that get street racers off the street and onto the track like Evo Street Racers does? Don’t the cops get it… regardless of the law people will still street race unless they have a track within close proximity to where they live… Go for the pro-active and NOT the reactive approach. it will pay off for everyone involved, street racers, cops, communities… this is why I joined up with Evo...

"Fast & Furious Opening Night Cancelled in California Amidst Fears of"

Increased Street Racing Activity I love the fast and furious series. I hope this ban isnt true and its an incorrect source; however, the release of the movie brings up another good point. Street Racing is a world wide problem. It seems in every major publication another accident occurs do to young kids racing in the streets. Its becoming too much and we need a world wide option to street racing. The only option i have been able to find thus far is through an ogranization based in the States called Evo Street Racers ... Not only did the website have a lot of content on american street racing but also worldwide street racing. They also have so pretty creative ideas and plans to take racing off the street. I think the evo street racers website helps put into context the fast and furious movies.

legal Street Racing
My name is Kelly Vick and I am an ambassador for Evo Street Racers for the state of Washington. We are the largest Anti Street Racing Organization in the US. Please Check out the website at http://www.evostreetracers.com/index.html My heart goes out to this family in so many ways as I sit here in tears knowing the loss they have suffered. My heart and prayers go out to them I know because I lost my son Cameron Harbin Oct.15th 2007 while he was street racing in Spanaway Wa. Evo Street Racers and Bryan Harrison have been a godsent to me and my family over the last year. The other boy who was racing my son has been charged with vehicular homicide and will go to trial in April in Tacoma. I know a lot of people think that him being charged with such a crime is ridiculous. However I do not. The laws on street racing should be as tough as our drunk driving laws or tougher in the state of Washington. Are kids need safe and inexpensive places to race if they are going to race. I support "Take it to the Track" and will be out at the track here in Spokane in the spring with our young kids telling my tragedy and showing them there is a safe way to race and it is not on the street putting their lives and the lives of others at risk.

Thank you for listening.

"Box-Office Preview: "Fast & Furious" Leading Close Race Against "Monsters vs. Aliens" "

I dont understand the attraction to the fast and furious when people are getting hurt and dying from street racing. Why isnt creating solutions to the problem as popular? Why is it that great motorsports associations like Evo Street Racers encouter so much difficulty when creating solutions to the problem? Things need to change. The public needs to realize that being fast and furious on the street is not acceptable and action like Evo Street Racers take is what we all need to do.

"Report: Kandice Hutchinson Killed While Street Racing"

what a damn shame! see street racing affects us all regardless of economic stature! street racing will only be stopped with alternatives to the street like programs ran by Evo Street Racers and similar organizations. Evo is worth a look to read about alterantives to the street.

"Man arrested in suspected street-racing fatality in South L.A."

If anything can be learned from this it is that we need better techniques to stop the problem. I am grateful that at least one organization in the country is trying to stop it, Evo Street Racers. Had they not been spending the last decade trying to reduce street racing we would hear stories like this one far more often.

"Orange County Street Racing Accident Claims Teen’s Life"

NHSTA statistics are EXTREMELY Innacurate. The NHRA also posted these statistics on there website which further proves their stupidity and failure to understand the illegal street racing problem. When searching for accurate stat's I visited a website called Evo Street Racers. They have a section which addressing all type of stat's well worth reading https://www.evostreetracers.com/tragedytower.html . They have been around for a long time and have a great program! I wish they would expand quicker so as to avoid stories like this one.

SHA to reconfigure I-70 to thwart racing

SHA needs more help than road changes to stop illegal street racing. We all know this. We all know that illegal street racing has been around for decades yet every attempt to stop it has been foolish at best. Place a roadblock there and the racers will go to a different place. It is for this reason why I support an organization entitled Evo Street Racers as they represent the only significant movement attempting to reastically reduce the activity.

MMaybe the fast and furious crew should consider taking action to stop street racing like Evo Street Racers has dedicated there existance to. "The Need for Speed"

I agree there is a lot of misinformation about street racing. When I started researching I found a lot of people that knew very little about the sport...then I came across a national motorsports association called Evo Street Racers. I was amazed by the amount of educational information they had about the anti-street racing movement. The information and ideas they shared are the reason why I stopped racing on the street and took it to the track. I think if more people visited their web site ... they would reconsider racing on the street.

Nice job of explaining the consequences of being caught with an intake that is not CARB certified in Cali. Beyond being caught, your car will also fail emissions testing if you keep a none-CARB intake on the car during the test. Something to think about. If your interest on more information pertaining to illegal street racing I have found a boat load on a website called “Evo Street Racers” ... Well worth checking out.

Movie Review: Fast and Furious

I like the movie. It was good, especially the opening seen but I would have liked my children to see the actors take a more appropriate view of saying that its just the movies. Sometimes out children can become decentized from watching these things to where they think certain activities are okay. This would not be good. I took the additional time to show my kids a website called Evo Street Racers as they had lots of realistic information on how lethal the activity can be

"Hamilton boy racers protest car-crushing proposal"

What we need is a mediator that understands both sides and can come to a fair compromise. I propose we get a representative from Evo Street Racers whom works in these types of situations to ensure all parties recieved a fair settlement. One example is that they specialize in understanding the needs of illegal street racers by getting us onto the track while gaining the support of the politicians to actually take action and give us a place to race.

It is crazy how detrimental illegal street racing can be. "Orléans residents fear road prone to street racing"

Our country has long suffered from the impact of illegal street racing accidents whether its specific to the crash area all the way to the premiums we pay as a society for the accident (Insurance, Emergency Services, Transportation Workers). I have learned much of the impact to our country via a global association called Evo Street Racers ... I have come to learn from them that we are taking many proactive steps and are applauded for our efforts but more needs to be done. We must come together as a community and say enough is enough and end this problem as one unified force.
